At first Model Performance 475, definitely rules this price category. Not only because of its efficiency but also because of the cooking space. It is a great choice for a family of 4 people. It is a grill worth its price which is something under 200 dollars.
It has marvelously great space for grilling where there are 4 burners. It is almost 475 square inches of cooking where you can find a porcelain-coated cast iron grate. Additionally there are also 175 square inches of secondary cooking on porcelain-coated swing-away rack.
Electronic ignition enables the fast and definite start. There is a side burner added, if it is not in use you can cover it closing the cover. This way you will get more place for cooking.
A cover of this grill is made of stainless steel, additionally it has a sensor of temperature on the top of it which will enable you to control the temperature. The elements such as handle or the steering panel complete the product when it comes to style. It is definitely a very nice product concerning the look and price. Take a look at more significant features.
Inside the grill there is a fat tray which can be easily removed to clean up. The grill has two small wheels which enable it to move it to the desired place. On the sides you will find two shelves which will be useful for sure during preparing your meals.
The grill is made of stainless steel thanks to which it will serve us a few good years. If you want to extend the lifespan of it - you have to think about buying the cover which will protect the grill and will elongate its lifespan.
Char-Griller 3001 Grillin' Pro
Another item is a model that costs a little below 200$. The good points? A very big grilling space, by which I mean 438 square inches of the main cooking space plus a warming rack with 192 square inches secondary cooking.
It's a great choice for a family of four, you have a lot of space to prepare and grill your food. Two side shelves, one of them with a hidden burner that you can find after picking up the . It goes perfect with medium sized plates.
Obviously, there's an electric ignition that allows to maintain a stable temperature (you can find a temperature sensor on the top of the lid). The barbeque is equipped with 3 burners that allow to get the right temperature fast.
The cast-iron grates are coated with porcelain, which prevents corrosion and makes cleaning easy. Here's my tip, remember not to clean it with metal scrappers. Use a soft bristle or a nylon grill brush. Not to mention they prevent food from sticking, which is very useful when grilling.
It's a grill made of steel, painted using the powder coating. It has two big wheels that allow to easily move the barbeque around if necessary. Unfortunately, many people complain about poor quality of of the material the wheels were made of. But it's the kind of flaw that doesn't cause trouble when grilling.
It has two removable fat trays. Sadly, replacing them is a problem to some. Another downside is a difficult access to the propane tank.
To sum it up, it's a great barbeque for this kind of money. Its main advantages are big cooking area and that it heats up fast. It has several structural flaws that I mentioned earlier. However, taking the price and other things into account - I can easily recommend this barbeque to those who want to buy a cheap and decent barbeque.
Char-Broil Classic 280 2-Burner
It's a two burner grill with the option of buying an extra side burner that may come in handy for making sauces. It is much smaller than the models I already described earlier. The cooking space is 280 square inches.
It's the newer model of a popular barbeque grill, see the very popular old Char-Broil Classic 280.
It's definitely a good choice for small groups of people, I think it should be enough for two. You need a barbeque like that, except with a bigger cooking space?
Check out its bigger version, Char-Broil Classic 360.
When it comes to equipment, it has procelain grates that are easy to clean and prevent food from sticking. The cover is made of steel, and coated with porcelain.
Inside it has two burners made of stainless steel. Of course you'll find an igniting system here that fires up the burner with a press of a button.
It is equipped with two extra wheels that make this barbeque mobile.
Simple, small, useful and very cheap - a little over 100$ for this model makes it a very attractive product. It is made of poor quality materials, which is why it's so cheap. Despite that, it will work great for people with low expectations and those who only have a barbeque party once in a blue moon.
Among the downsides the users complain about are difficulties with assembly, the user manual is sadly very poor. You have to find some patience and few hours to spare.
My overall mark is completely positive. It's a model that is fully adequate to its price. It's small, but to some people it might be a good thing if you don't have much space in your backyard. I think that the price-quality-function ratio will make you a satisfied user.
Char-Broil Classic 360
The extended version of a classis, it has the same options as its smaller counterpart. You can read about it above. The price is almost the same. A good barbeque for a bigger group of people.
The main difference is the size ( 360 square inches main cooking area ) and having 3 burners. On top of that, under the lid you'll find a 170 square inch rack. That's a lot of extra space.
The rest is the same as in the smaller version. Let me just do a brief recap of the major points.
Just like its predecessor, it's a good choice. Thanks to its size it will work great for a bigger group of people. It is definitely worth its price, for this kind of money you get everything needed to have a barbeque.
Char-Broil Quickset 3-Burner
My last suggestion in this price range. Far below the expected price, one of the cheapest gas barbeques. And one of the bigger ones at this price at the same time.
It has 3 burners that heat up to high temperatures in just few minutes. On the top of the lid you will also find a termometer that will allow you to perfectly control the temperature. The lid itself is made of steel and coated with porcelain.
The main cooking area is 370 square inches. The grates are also coated with porcelain. Above you will find the second cooking space, which means extra 175 square inches. It is the total of whole 545 square inches of cooking space.
On the sides there are big shelves that will work great as the place to keep your grilling accessories. There's a cover on one side, all you have to do is open it to have an access to the side burner. I think that this kind of burner is a very useful option to many bbq masters.
One advantage is easy assembly that many users have talked about. In 2015 this model took the 3rd place in the "best barbeque grill" category.
For a price this low, much below 200$ - you can enjoy grilling for many years to come. I really recommend using a cover for your grill. That way it will defnitely be a barbeque for many years.
To put it briefly, a great and good looking barbeque for a low price.
In the good gas grill for less than 200$ category, it's hard to pick anything great. There are dozens of different models available on the market. That's why I only chose few models for you that are definitely worth their money.
Obviously, don't expect anything astounding for this kind of price. Still, the above items will allow you to enjoy your grilling. I took the cooking area and number of burners into account.
About 80-90% of user reviews are positive. Most of the negative ones are due to damaged deliveries or missing parts.
Despite that, a gas barbeque within the 100 to 200$ price range should easily serve you for several seasons.
