How to Grill Frozen Burgers

Obviously, it would be the best to prepare fresh meat and grill delicious hamburgers. Many times, however, we don’t have much time for preparations or just don’t feel like it. There’s a group of friends coming over soon that we will have to prepare food for.

Then we start thinking about taking shortcuts, which is grilling frozen hamburgers. It is possible of course, but you have to stick to several rules in order for the results to be satisfying and, most of all, tasty.

As I have mentioned already, it would be the best to have non-frozen hamburgers, but the truth is that even frozen ones can taste good.

You have to take into account how long your burgers can stay frozen, and to what degree they should be frozen. What is the right and safe grilling temperature and for how long.

So let’s get to the point, everyone needs to prepare something in the kitchen fast sometimes.

Quick frozen hamburgers. You can make them much sooner and simply freeze them, or buy them frozen in a store.

What do you need?

  • checkfrozen burgier patties ( the quantity depends on the size of your party and how big your grill is)
  • checkSpatula – useful for separating frozen burger patties
  • checkSauce

First prepare the meat

Frozen meat patties are usually stuck together ( packaged in stacks ). It’s hard to get them apart without defrosting, which is when a piece of flat utensil comes in handy.

All you have to do is slid it between the patties ( I myself use a butter knife ). It should make it easier for them to come apart. After you get them separated, you can move on to grilling.

What you have to remember about every time whenever you grill. Before you put food on the grate, always make sure that the grill is preheated up enough.

Just set the grill on medium heat for about 10 minutes.

Once everything is done, you can put your burgers on the grates.

This is where the spatula comes in handy, as you’ll use it to flip your patties about every 3 to 4 minutes. Keep doing this for about 15 to 25 minutes ( it all depends on the thickness of your meat patties ).

If you’re not sure about getting your burgers done just right. Use a instant read termometer, the internal temperature should be about 160 degrees Fahrenheit.

Some of the grilling enthusiasts might put the buns on the grates in the meantime. After a short while it should become crispy, which will make your burger taste better.

A tip

To make sure about the temperature inside a grilled burger, remember that you should first take it off the grate and put on a plate. Only then can you check what is the actual temperature. Remember about putting the termometer in the side of the burger, too.

The rest is up to you, add whatever you like to your burger to give it a perfect taste. Don’t forget about a heated piece of cheese to put on the meat!
